Driver Fees & Rates Policy (UK Licensed Taxi Drivers)

This page forms part of Gett's General Terms & Conditions: Licensed Taxi Drivers (UK) (the "Driver Terms"). Capitalised words used on this page have the meanings given to them in the Driver Terms.
Commission
The Commission Rate is as follows:
- London: 20% (inclusive of VAT)
- Outside of London: 10% (inclusive of VAT)
The above rates apply to standard Bookings and Pay-in-Cab Bookings.
For details on how the commission is calculated, see clause 11.2 of the Driver Terms.
From time to time, we may offer reduced commission promotions. These will be subject to additional terms & conditions which will be notified to you.
High Demand Fee (previously referred to as Peak Premium)
For details on the High Demand Fees that are offered to you during busy periods (referred to as Driver High Demand Fee), please see the Driver FAQ: "What is a High Demand Fee?" and the section headed "Driver High Demand Fee" in clause 11.5 of the Driver Terms.
The amount payable to you will always be clearly indicated on the Booking Offer Screen (highlighted with lightening bolts in the green banner). The amount is fixed at the time you accept the booking.
When can you cancel a job?
Standard jobs:
You must wait a minimum of 5 minutes after arriving at the pick-up location. When you have waited for 3 minutes, the 'Remind the passenger' button will appear – please tap the button and wait a further 2 minutes before cancelling.
Account (business) jobs:
You must wait a minimum of 15 minutes at the pick-up location. After 15 minutes, please call us to check the status of the job.
Airport jobs:
You must wait a minimum of 30 minutes at the pick-up location before cancelling.
Cancellation fees (scrubs)
Standard ASAP jobs:
If the User cancels more than 2 minutes after you accepted the job, you will receive a £5 scrub if you are still on the way to the pick-up location.
If the User cancels more than 2 minutes after you accepted the job, you will receive a £7 scrub if you have already arrived at the pick-up location.
If you have waited at the pick-up location for more than 5 minutes and the User is a no-show, you will receive a £7 scrub.
Account (business) jobs:
You will receive a £5 scrub plus 50p/minute for any waiting time at the pick-up location.
Future Orders:
The same rules apply as for standard ASAP jobs, except that a scrub will only be paid after the job has gone live. Jobs go live 10 minutes before the scheduled pick-up time.
Airport pick-ups:
If the User cancels more than 2 minutes after you have begun driving to the airport, you will receive a £20 scrub (which is inclusive of parking charges).
If the User cancels after you have waited at least 30 minutes at the airport, you will receive a £20 scrub (inclusive of parking charges) plus 50p/minute waiting time after the first 15 minutes free waiting time.
Pay-In-Cab Bookings (aka Cash Jobs):
No scrubs apply.
Airport pick-up, drop-off and parking fees
You must enter the correct airport pick-up / drop-off / parking fees as indicated in the App.
Any amounts entered must comply with applicable local fare regulations. For Heathrow and other London airports, please refer to the TfL regulations relating to airport pick-ups and drop-offs.
Cleaning/Damage Fee
You are entitled to charge a fee to cover the reasonable cost of cleaning or repair of a vehicle that has been damaged or soiled by a User (beyond ordinary wear and tear) in the course of a Booking, up to the maximum amount set by the local licensing authority. In London, the maximum fee is set at £60 and may be added to the Meter Fare as a Permitted Meter Addition (see the Driver Terms for more details).
You must notify both the User and Gett if you intend to charge a Cleaning/Damage fee on a Booking.
