Our commitment to your safety

The ongoing Covid-19 situation has led to a variety of changes across every industry, and ground travel is no different. Our primary focus right now is on creating a safer environment for our users as the UK transitions to a new period of lockdown.
To support businesses in getting back up and running and help them create an environment that is safe, hygiene-focussed and considerate of health needs, we’ve created a Safety Policy* that our partners and drivers have agreed to.
Please note: The latest TfL guidelines require passengers to wear a face covering** for the duration of the journey. A driver can decline to take the passenger if they’re not wearing a face covering. Exemptions apply.
All our supply partners and drivers are required to:
Wear a face covering throughout their shift
Sanitise their hands regularly and have tissues available in the vehicle
Report any Covid-19 symptoms in case of completing a booking with Gett in the two weeks prior to showing symptoms
Disinfect touchpoints after each journey and clean the vehicle interior regularly
Together with our partners, we’re putting additional safety measures in place, like providing protective equipment to drivers, providing hand sanitiser and wipes for passenger and driver use and informing drivers of recognised cleaning service options available to deep clean their vehicle when necessary.
Keeping vehicles clean

Enter the vehicle to the door diagonally opposite the driver and sit in the rear to the left-hand side
Open vehicle windows where practical
Gett will continue:
Helping staff avoid public transport when not suitable
Facilitating social distancing with the driver partition & wider space in our black taxis. Please note: social distancing may not be possible in PHVs

** Face covering is not the same as a surgical mask or respirator. Face covering can be a simple cloth that covers the face and mouth and can be homemade. More details here.
