Gett is expanding its reach in the U.S. and Canada through the launch of a new, strategic partnership with Lyft – the popular ride-hailing firm based in San Francisco that operates throughout North America – in 644 cities in the United States and 12 cities in Canada.
For business travelers to North America, the new arrangement means rides can be requested through the Gett app and be matched with a driver on the Lyft network.
The partnership allows us to seamlessly serve our corporate clients traveling in North America through Gett’s SaaS platform for business travelers.
As Dave Waiser, Gett CEO, pointed out, “It’s win-win: Gett offers a seamless travel solution across North America at the same time as we continues to see strong momentum in Europe – while Lyft benefits from the large number of Gett enterprise clients traveling to North America.
Gett provides a SaaS solution that aggregates a complete range of ground travel providers in-country, and across geographies, on a single booking platform.
The decision to partner with Lyft comes in place of an earlier arrangement with the ride-hailing company Juno (which was owned by Gett), and is part of Gett’s broader, differentiated business model. As the leading corporate transportation service, we believe in actively partnering with consumer ridesharing companies rather than competing with them – and we look forward to establishing similar partnerships with consumer ride-hailing services in other regions in the future.
