We are thrilled to announce that Guy Matthews has joined Gett as our new Head of Public Sector.

Guy brings a fantastic background and a clear commitment to improving public services. For nearly a decade at Vodafone, he partnered with local councils and NHS organisations, playing a critical role in keeping them connected – even during tough times like the COVID-19 pandemic – where he supported frontline teams with essential digital infrastructure.

Now, Guy is focusing that experience on transport. In areas like Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) transport for councils and Non-Emergency Patient Transport (NEPTS) for the NHS, the need for safe, reliable, and efficient solutions is constantly growing.

“I’m really pleased to be joining Gett,” says Guy. “Transport is so important in the lives of children, patients, and their families. Whether it’s getting a child to school safely or helping someone reach a hospital appointment, these journeys matter. I look forward to working with councils and NHS Trusts to improve how they deliver these essential services.”

Guy will work directly with councils, NHS Trusts, and others to address their unique transport challenges. This means:

  • Improving how services like SEND transport are managed.
  • Supporting hospitals with their non-emergency patient journeys.
  • Making sure every service is safe, accountable, and highly efficient.

He’ll also be focused on maximising value, helping organizations use technology and data to clarify spending, reduce waste, and ultimately improve the experience for service users. It’s about ensuring the right journeys happen, in the right way, for the people who need them most.

“Guy brings a thoughtful, practical perspective to public sector partnerships,” says Rosie McKinnon, Head of B2B at Gett. “He understands the pressures faced by councils and NHS Trusts and is focused on finding solutions that truly work. We’re delighted to have him on the team.”

Guy’s appointment highlights Gett’s ongoing commitment to the public sector. Our platform already helps hundreds of organisations manage their taxi operations with better control, transparency, and value for money. With Guy on board, we’re ready to ensure public sector teams have the best tools to deliver high-quality transport services.
