Gett was one of the official taxi providers for Cancer Research UK’s Shine Night Walk, for the fifth year running.

Gett – the UK’s favourite black cab app – supported the Shine Night Walk against cancer in their fifth year as one of the event’s official taxi providers.

Londoners participating in Cancer Research UK’s night-time walking marathon on September 24th were able to book cabs home throughout the night, by visiting the Gett travel desk at the venue.

“As London’s brave fundraisers spend up to 14 hours walking the streets to complete their 10k, half marathon, and even full marathon walking challenges this Saturday, the last thing they’ll want is a tiring journey home,” said Holly Garner, Senior People Partner at Gett. “We’re very proud to be supporting the Shine Night Walk for the fifth year in a row, to help participants get home safely once they’ve crossed that finish line.”

The Gett team manned the stand all night long to help participants book travel home.

Shine Night Walks – held across 19 UK locations this year – help raise awareness and funds for ongoing research into various types of cancer, including prostate, breast, bowel, lung, ovarian, children’s cancers, brain tumours, and leukaemia.
